The Physics Solver works problems from introductory and intermediate physics. Newton's laws with free-body setup. Work, energy, and power. Momentum and collisions. Rotation and torque. Simple harmonic motion and waves. Fluids. Thermodynamics and gas laws. Electrostatics, electric fields and potential, current and resistance, magnetism and induction. Optics. It identifies the principle, sets up the equations with the given values, solves symbolically where possible, then substitutes numbers, carrying units through every line and checking the final unit. Multi-part problems are answered part by part with the result of one part carried into the next, and symbolic answers are given when the problem gives no numbers.

Type the problem in full or photograph it, diagram included. State every given value with its unit and the quantity to find: "a 2 kg block slides down a 30 degree incline with mu = 0.2, find the acceleration". Say which direction is positive if the problem does. Set the Units option to SI or Imperial to match the course. Set Answer form to decimal for a numeric result with sensible significant figures, or both if you want the symbolic expression too. If the problem uses a diagram of pulleys, ramps, or charges, include it in the photo. For a two-body or multi-stage problem, say what to find for each body or stage. State the direction convention if the problem has one, so the signs in the solution match yours.

Output: the answer with its unit first. Then the setup: the diagram described in words, the coordinate choice, the equations from the principle, the algebra to isolate the unknown, and the substitution. A sanity note comments on the sign and the size of the result. The working is shown so you can check it. For pure motion problems, the Kinematics Solver is tighter. A follow-up can rerun the problem with an energy method instead of forces, or vice versa, which is a strong check on the result. Each equation is named by principle, conservation of momentum or Newton's second law along the incline, so it can be cited.
